关于西服业史几个标志性年份的考订

Exploration into Several Significant Years in the History of Western Suit Industry

就红帮裁缝发展史上出现异说、造成混乱的3组标志性年份提出辩析:一是国人首家西服店的开业年份;二是苏州首家西服店的开业年份;三是南京"李顺昌"的开业年份。指出对于标志性年份的认定,必须从实际出发,结合当时当地的社会背景来加以实事求是的推断和科学的论证。最后对这3组标志性年份的辩析与考订得出结论:1)国人首家西服店开业,暂定1871年为宜,可能还要早些。2)苏州首家西服店"李顺昌"开业时间应为1899年。3)南京"李顺昌"开业时间应为1926年。

This paper analyzes three groups of significant years glutted with heterodoxy and chaos in the developing history of Hong Band Tailoring. The first is the opening year of the first western suit shop in China. The second is the opening year of the first western suit shop in Suzhou. The third is the opening year of the western suit shop Li Shunchang in Nanjing. The paper points out that the identification of the significant years should start from the facts and combine the social background then and there so as to gain matter-of-fact deduction and scientific verification. Finally, it makes a conclusion by analyzing and exploring into the significant years that the opening year of the first western suit shop in China is tentatively set in 1871, or maybe earlier, that the opening year of the first western suit shop Li Shunchang in Suzhou should be 1899 and that the opening year of Li Shunchang in Nanjing should be 1926.
