Design and Optimization of Turbo Decoder in WCDMA/HSDPA System

摘要 Turbo码由于其优越的性能正日益广泛应用到移动、卫星和深空通信系统中。以Turbo译码器的ASIC实现为目标,介绍了它在WCDMA/HSDPA系统中的实际应用,对其算法、实现复杂度进行了分析,对常规扩充结构进行了优化,减少了面积和功耗,减少不必要的运算开支,节约了芯片成本,提高了产品竞争力。 Turbo code is widely used in mobile, satellite and deep-space communications systems for its superior performance. In this paper, Turbo algorithm used in the WCDMA/HSDPA System is analyzed and implemented in ASIC. The proposed structure could realize the system performance, reduce the hardware complexity,die size and power consumption, including the unnecessary operating cost, and thus save the system cost, and raise the competition capability of the product.
