人文主义是西方文艺复兴时期的核心思想文化现象。人文主义所具有的崇尚古典文化、宣扬个体创作精神、强调以人为中心的人神和谐观、善用诗性智慧的思维方式等特征,对后来西方文化进程发生了持久的影响。因此人文主义也成了文艺复兴史研究领域的核心课题。从19世纪开始,西方学者开始对人文主义问题展开自觉、深入的研究,建构起一部具有丰富内涵的学术批评史。

Humanism is a central ideological and cultural phenomenon during the Renaissance in the west. It has long-lasting effect on the progress of culture in the west and becomes the key research project in researches into Renaissance. Since the 19th century,scholars in the west have conducted a series of in-depth researches into humanism,constructing a history of academic criticism with profound connotations.
