对文房四宝的起源和发展进行简要的梳理,以期通过历史和科学的发展角度,初步总结文房四宝与书法的相互作用:文房四宝成就了书法这门独特而鲜明的艺术;书法对笔墨纸砚的发展所起的推动作用。

The paper briefly discusses the origin and development of the four treasures of the study and gives a brief summary of the mutual effects between the four treasures of the study and Chinese calligraphy： the former has accomplished the latter as a unique and bright art. Meanwhile, the latter has played a driving role in the former＇s development.
