摘要
周勃父子均为西汉名臣,为西汉政权的稳定和社会的发展作出了重要贡献。但父子二人晚年演绎的都是人生悲剧,其原因虽或不同,或因功高震主,或因冒犯皇威,但都是专制皇权的必然产物。
ZHOU Bo and his son, both as famed Officials of the Western＇Han Dynasty （206 BC-AD 24）, contributed a great deal to the stability of the Western Han kaiserdom and social development, but neither when old enjoyed a good life. Reasons were varied, either because of their achievements which threatened the monarch or because they offended the monarch, but were necessarily the result of despotism on the part of the imperial power.
