抗战时期广东茂名地区妇女登报声明解除婚姻关系和法庭打官司要求解除婚姻关系的案件不断,原因主要有贫困、感情不和、反对盲婚和虐待等。造成这种离婚居多局面的原因有几个方面:战争带来的社会变动,妇女运动的开展,民国婚姻法的肯定和普及,报纸等舆论宣传推动等。

In the period of the War of Resistance Against Japan, cases appeared one after another about women at Maoming in Guangdong Province, who either publicized in the newspaper or appealed to the court to dissolute marriage. The causes are mainly poverty, alienation of mutual affection, blind marriage, ill-treatment and so on. The reasons that brought about this divorce situation are： social changes that brought by the war, women＇s movement, the marriage law of Republic of China affirmed and popularized, medias such as newspapers that propagated and promoted this issue.
