摘要
为满足地理信息系统(GIS)对移动性的需求,提出了适用于便携式即插即用型计算的操作系统、应用软件、数据一体化存储技术框架.论证了利用Linux在Flash Disk上构建便携式即插即用型桌面GIS环境的可行性.针对Flash Disk在速度、容量和擦写次数方面的不足,给出了解决方案,阐述了其工作原理和关键技术.以QGIS为例,详细说明了基于Flash Disk的便携式即插即用型开源桌面GIS环境的构建.实际系统运行测试表明该技术有效.文章提出的技术框架,不仅可用于GIS领域,也可推广到其他即插即用型计算.在这一应用模式下,电脑成为信息基础设施,通过USB接口,由Flash Disk上的操作系统、应用程序和数据驱动,实现各类应用.这种普适性,对于未来的计算应用而言,具有深远的现实意义.
To meet the demand for mobility required by GIS(Geographic Information Systems),a technical framework to integrate an operating system,software and data which is suitable for portable plug-and-play computing is presented.The feasibility of making a portable plug-and-play desktop GIS environment based on Linux and Flash Disk is reasoned.To overcome the limitations of Flash Disk,such as the writing and erasing cycles,access speed and storage capacity,a solution is offered.The work principle and key technologies of this solution are explained.Taking QGIS as an example,the implementation of a portable plug-and-play open source desktop GIS environment is detailed.The operation test of the environment indicates that the solution is effective.The technical framework can be used not only in GIS,but also in the other situations in which a portable plug-and-play computing environment is required.According to this application mode,computers become components of information infrastructures,driven by the operating system,application and data which reside on the Flash Disk through USB interface,all kinds of tasks can be achieved.The universal of this application mode is expected to open a whole new domain in the future of computing.
