As science and technology develop,more and more high technologies have been used in track and fi eld competitions.The updating and development of electronic measure apparatuses,the perfection of false start detector and the application of VDM and arbitration video system and so on make the competition results more equitable,accurate,transparent and faster;and meanwhile these technologies make track and field into a better spectator sport.Therefore,track and field coaches should adapt themselves to these changes and take advantage of high-tech instruments and means in their coaching.
