In order to research deformation,inner force and free vibration of single cell culvert under the action of earth pressure,we simplify it as the constant section steelwork under the action of linear distribution load, analyse the simplified mordel with transfer matrix method,and solve it based on its boundary condition. The conception of transfer matrixmethod is clear, formula is concise and easy to programme.
