优质早熟大果型锥栗新品种——八月香的选育

Breeding of a new early and large cultivar Bayuexiang,belonging to Castanea henryi

八月香系实生优株选育而成。属长枝型,树势强健,枝梢生长旺,分枝角度小;以粗壮结果母枝结果为主,连续结果能力强。坚果圆锥形、单果质量13.5 g、果皮红褐色、果肉黄白色,鲜食熟食品质皆佳;成熟期9月上旬,较黄榛提早20～25 d;早实丰产,盛产期666.7 m2产量200 kg以上。

Bayuexiang was selected from the open pollinated superior seedlings.It belongs to long branch type and has strong tree vigor and thriving branches with small branching angle;Fruits mainly come from thick bearing branches with strong con-tinuous bearing ability.The fruit shape is of cone,weighing 13.5 g on average,with a reddish brown skin and the flesh is yellow white in color and good for fresh consumption and cooking.It ripens in early September,20 to 25 d earlier than Huangzhen cultivar.The trees are productive.The production could reach more than 3 t.hm-2.
