On Xue Baochai’s Process of Mental Activities in Love

在《红楼梦》的研究历史上,薛宝钗的恋爱婚姻问题历来被当作宝黛爱情的对立面,也即主要是被当作批判的对象而立论的。近些年来,论者们从人性的普遍欲求和行为出发,逐渐肯定了薛宝钗对贾宝玉的恋爱追求。通过对薛宝钗的恋爱方式和恋爱心理做进一步的探讨,论述其恋爱悲剧。

In the former study on A Dream of Red Mansions,marital problems ofXue Baochai＇s has long been regarded as the antithesis of that between Baoyu and Daiyu.That is to say,they are mainly used as the object of crit- icism. In recent years, critics gradually affirmed Xue Baochai＇s pursuit for Jia Baoyu from viewpoint of the gener- al human desire and behavior.This paper is dedicated to giving specific discussion on Xue Baochai＇ s way of love and love psychology.
