A detail analysis of the test method for twist after washing,measurement and the rationality of the requirements being applied on the existing knitted product standards a simplified and harmonized principle for twist measurement is recommended. A study is provided in order to unify the requirement in twist measurement for garments with similar style, to use different test procedures for measuring the twist for knitted top and pants, and to explore the feasibility by using a twist value to replace existing index.
