侨批文化研究的兴起,成为当下潮学研究的热点。本文回顾有关侨批业的研究,探索口述历史应用于侨批研究的新视角。作者认为,已有的侨批业研究不够宽泛,未来的侨批业研究应从口述历史资料收集、研究领域和研究理论等方面着手,拓宽和加深相关研究。本文试图探讨将口述史方法运用于侨批研究中的问题。从口述史学基本理论入手,追溯了口述史在欧美和亚洲的发展进程,探讨了口述史定义和学科性质,并结合侨批研究的学科特征,试图理清口述历史学科的基本工作程序以及在侨批文化研究中的具体应用,并对这一领域的今后发展作了展望。

The author points out the narrow scope of the researches on overseas remittances in the present, therefore, the future research should focus on oral history data collection, scope - extension and theory-formulation. This article discussed the application of oral history in the research of overseas remittance. The author tried to start from the basic theory of oral history, and narrated the historical background of oral history in the Occident and the Orient, to discuss the definition of oral history and its technical essence, with the characteristic of pop music researching, The author also tried to make clear the basic process of oral history subject and the practical application of it in the research of overseas remittance. and the prospective development of this subject.
