生态美学——一个时髦的伪命题

Ecological Aesthetics:An Illusive Proposition

众所周知,生态学是一门以物理、生物现象为研究对象的自然学科,而美学是一门以人类精神现象为研究对象的人文学科。显然,这两门学科之间在性质上具有根本的不同之处,两者之间也存在明显的不可通约性。正是由于这两门学科在性质上的异质性,就决定了由生态学与美学相结合而产生的生态美学学科性质的不确定性。这种缺陷必然使生态美学既不能解决美学本身存在的问题,又不能为现实生态问题的解决提供某种行之有效的途径,反而将美学置于一种与自身基本特性相矛盾的尴尬境地。因此,所谓的生态美学实际上是一个时髦的伪命题,充其量它只是一种有学无美的致用之学。

It is well known that ecology is a physical science of nature, and aesthetics is a kind of psychological science of humanities. Obviously, there are fundamentally different natures in the two disciplines. These differences lead to the uncertainty caused by combination between ecology and aesthetics. Therefore, the ecological aesthetics can neither solve the aesthetic problems nor provide any effective solutions to ecological problems. On the contrary, it puts aesthetics in dilemma. Actually, ecological aesthetics is only an illusive proposition.
