The Ecological Notions in the Bible

许多西方生态学家将当今世界生态环境危机的历史文化根源归结为《圣经》中所体现出来的人类中心主义理念。然而,经过对《圣经》故事中所隐含的生态理念的全面分析,发现《圣经》中的上帝实际上是自然规律的拟人化形象,自然规律在《圣经》中就是上帝的诫命和意志;《圣经》中的生态观不但不是当今生态环境恶化的历史文化根源,而且非常符合现代生态保护理念。

Many ecologists try to find the cultural and historical roots of the present ecological deterioration. Many of them think that the anthropocentrism expressed or implied in the Bible might be the cultural and historical cause of the present ecological crisis. This paper presented, analyzed and weighed the evidence found in the Bible and finally obtained the conclusion that is not completel~ the same as that of many ecologists, that is, the ecological notions in the Bible are generally in conformity with our modern notions of environment protection.
