摘要
China Unicom Ltd. closed down 1.38% at RMB 6.42 (94 U.S. cents) per share by midday on February 23, on clarification over its involvement in Nigerian Telecommunications Ltd. (NITEL) bid. In a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange late February 22, China Unicom, the country's second biggest telecom operator, denied reports of its Londonbased European subsidiary's participation in proposed privatization of NITEL.
