The traction motor of type HXD3B electric locomotive is three-phase,squirrel-cage type,asynchronous, which is specially designed for inverter supply. The traction motor is one bearing structure. The drive type is designed as a nose-suspended drive. This paper mainly presents the technical parameter, structure and design characteristics.
