补缺假说指导下的大学英语翻译教学策略

摘要 母语负迁移是大学英语翻译教学中亟待解决的一个问题。补缺假说认为由于目的语语境知识缺失,母语语境知识介入补缺,进而造成母语负迁移,这一观念为外语教学提供了新视角。为提高大学英语翻译教学质量,有必要在平时的翻译教学中增加语境知识的讲解,提高学生的翻译语境意识。 L1 negative transfer is a problem demanding prompt solution in college English translation teaching.According to the Compensation Hypothesis,a lack of the contextual knowledge of L2 is one of the causes of L1 transfer.By way of compensating for the lack of authentic contexts compatible with L2 use,L1 knowledge comes in,thus activating those L1 forms which go with it,and resulting in L1 transfer.This point of view provides foreign language teaching with a new perspective.In order to improve the quality of translation in college English teaching,it's necessary to add the contextual knowledge up to translation teaching,thus improving students' contextual awareness of translation.
