色彩词往往具有多重的文化内涵。在不同的语言中,色彩词也是不同文化的载体。在同一种语言中,同一色彩词迥异的文化内涵则在于文化结构的多重性。多重的文化从各自的角度投影在词汇上,就形成了色彩词文化内涵的错综复杂的特点。文中通过解析英语色彩词"blue"的文化内涵,力图揭示文化教学在英语教学中的重要性。

Color words often have multiple cultural connotations. In different languages, color words play the role of the carrier of different cultures. But in the same language, the same color word has different meanings in different contexts, which is decided by the cultural elements. This multi-culture elements reflex complicated meanings of a color word. In this paper, English color word ＂blue＂ is analyzed according to its culture so as to reveal the importance of teaching English culture.
