村庄生态园林化将是２１世纪生态林业建设的重要内容，也是农村住区经济、社会发展的重要标志。该研究提出村庄生态园林化的战略构想，认为村庄园林化应对所在村庄的山、水、田、林、路、村全面规划，建成以农村居民点为核心，以通道林网为纽带，以生态公益林为背景的林业生态体系。确定了生态绿化型、生态经济型、生态园林型和园林游憩型四种发展模式。
