独立学院的现状分析和发展战略构想——基于波特竞争优势理论模型的思考

An Analysis of thePresent State of Independent Colleges and the Conception of Its Development Strategy——A Consideration Based on the Model of Porter's Theory of Competitive Advantage

经过10年的快速发展,独立学院已经成为中国民办高等教育的重要组成部分。运用波特竞争优势理论模型对独立学院的发展现状进行分析,可以发现其主要问题为:生源素质偏低、师资力量偏弱;办学社会需求大,但多为慕母体学校之名;与人才需求单位缺乏良性互动;在较长时期内定位不清,战略导向有误。独立学院确立今后一个时期的可持续发展战略,应从准确定位、加强师资队伍建设、提高办学质量、加强与人才需求单位的互动等方面入手。

After ten years＇ rapid development independent colleges have become an important part of China＇s higher education run by the local people. Based on the Model of Porter＇s Theory of Competitive Advantage this thesis analyses the development state of independent colleges and discovers some main problems： low quality of students resources, weak teaching staff, great social need of running schools which is caused by people＇s admiration of the prestige of the parent universities of those independent schools, though, the lack of sound interaction with talent-needing units, the unclear location in a long period and a wrong strategic orientation. In order to set up a sustainable development strategy in a future period, the independent colleges should start work from such aspects as precise location, strengthening the construction of teaching staff, improving the quality of running schools and strengthening the interaction with talent-needing units.
