Discussion on the Usage of Silver as Monetary Unit in Classical Works

本文主要研究我国古典小说及稗史笔记中贵金属在我国货币史上所占有的地位,特别是白银作为流通货币的使用情况,进而对当时的银钱比价、物价水准、民生状况乃至社会生活进行了探讨。

This thesis mainly discusses the usage of precious metals which played an important role in Chinese monetary history, especially the usage of silver and its currency in circulation mentioned in Chinese ancient novels and books of anecdotes. Moreover, it probes into the exchange rate of the sliver money, the level of commodity price, the people＇s livelihood and social life at that time.
