Against the muhicuhural society, the theme of "cultural identity" has been one of the important topics in the field of literary study. In Ellison's Invisible Man, the protagonist's striving for his cultural identity implies profound multiple themes. This article explores the multiple themes in terms of political, socio - psychological and post - colonial considerations, which is of great significance to the positive cultural dialogue between the dominating group (culture) and the marginalized group (culture) and the construction of a harmonious muhicuhural society.
