On the Rational Decision of the Direction of Library Development——The Application of Functional Design Ideas in China's Economically Developed Regions

借鉴世界图书馆理论研究和实践的成果,引进功能设计的思想,以一个图书馆为案例考察它在新形势下的功能选择,进而帮助它确定当前的战略目标(或使命),设计相应的服务保证目标的实现。通过这样的考察分析,希望为其它地区的公共图书馆提供借鉴。

This paper draws on the results of theoretical research and practice of libraries of the world,introduces the functional design ideas,investigates the functional choice under the new situation of a library as a case that helps to define the current strategic objectives（or mission）and to design the corresponding service assurance goals in order to provide reference to public libraries in other regions through this analysis.
