The Position of Ecological Civilization in Human Culture

20世纪70—80年代以来,工业文明所带来的资源枯竭、生态环境恶化等问题表明,工业文明因面临严重的发展困境将发生转型,为生态文明所取代。对于生态文明在人类文明中的地位,从人类文明发展的过程性来看,生态文明萌生于工业文明的母体中,是对工业文明的扬弃,将是工业文明之后新的人类文明形态;从人类文明系统的结构性来看,生态文明只是人类文明系统中的一个方面,但具有基础地位,与物质文明、精神文明、政治文明之间存在交叉渗透的相互作用。

Western scholars pointed out that industrial civilization must be transformed since there existed multiple global problems in the 1970s and 1980s. From the point of view of human culture development process, the ecological civilization originated from industrial civilization, but it absorbed the advantages and abandoned the disadvantages of industrial culture, which leads to a new form of human culture after industrial civilization. Ecological civilization is only one aspect of the whole human culture system structure, however, it is of fundamental position. It interacts and penetrates with material culture, spiritual culture, and political culture.
