Chiral BINOL and its derivatives were introduced as chiral ligands, and their utilization in a series of asymmetric reductions of unsaturated carbonyl compounds, acylstannane, imines, meso 1,2 dicarboxylic anhydrides and meso cyclic 1,2 dicarboximides, were also presented with 26 references.
