乙型肝炎病毒（HBV）和丙型肝炎病毒（HCV）具有嗜肝细胞性，它们有许多共同特点，都可以经皮肤传染，例如通过输入血液制品或使用被病毒污染的注射器传染。身体长久被感染可导致肝硬化和肝细胞癌等严重后遗症。
