An Investigation into Semantic Construction of "Mind" Conception in Light of Embodiment Hypothesis

摘要 体验假设的哲学观点为研究概念隐喻提供了一个理论框架,而跨语言的对比研究为探索概念隐喻的源语域提供了必要的语料。根据体验哲学的观点:身体和社会-文化的体验是形成概念及语义系统的基础,因此,通过对"心智"概念的研究可以探究汉语中有关"心-脑"之间隐喻意义的建构。 The Embodiment Hypothesis offers a theoretic framework for the study of conceptual metaphors,while the cross-linguistic data serve as a corpus for discovering the source domains of the conceptual metaphors. From the perspective of Embodied Philosophy:physical,social and cultural embodiment performs the basis for constructing the conceptual and semantic system. Thus,by analyzing the data pertaining to "mind" conception it is possible to explore the construction of the metaphoric meaning between mind and heart in Chinese.
