摘要
亨利·詹姆斯以独树一帜的"国际题材"小说闻名于世,许多评论家也因此而断言他是一个世界主义者。但是,他的世界主义观究竟是什么?在作品中又是如何体现的?这些问题学界一直未见相关讨论。本文试图通过分析詹姆斯的文学文本,阐述其世界主义观的内涵,分析和论述其世界主义思想在文学作品中的具体表现,并剖析他的世界主义思想的成因。
Henry James is famous for his ＂ International Themes＂ ,and so many critics agree that he is a cosmopolitan. But what are his cosmopolitan ideas？ And how are his cosmopolitan ideas expressed in his literary works？ All these issues are not examined yet. This paper attempts to elaborate his cosmopolitan ideas and how these ideas are expressed in his literary texts. Finally the present paper intends to explain the causes which lead to the formation of his cosmopolitan ideas.
