章太炎的出版自由观考察

Zhang Taiyan's Ideas of Freedom of the Press

章太炎反对政府钳制言论,提出报刊"昌言时弊,指斥政府"的出版自由观,主张通过革命实现出版自由。其出版自由观形成的原因是受中国传统文化的熏陶和西方各类政治思潮的影响。而他将争取出版自由服从于政治斗争的目的、一味反对报律,加之其在个别观点上存在的前后出入和自相矛盾,则是其出版自由观的局限所在。

Zhang Taiyan opposed Government＇ s clamping down on freedom of speech, and contended achieving freedom of the press through revolution. This paper finds that influences of traditional Chinese culture and Western tides of political thoughts are formation reasons of his view of press freedom. However, that his fighting for the freedom of the press was subjected to the purpose of political struggles, he resisted press law blindly, and advanced some self-contradictory opinions, are the limitations of his concept of press freedom.
