The characteristics and electrochemical preparation method of the conductive polymer based solid-phase mieroextrac- tion （SPME） coatings were described in this paper. Meanwhile, three common conductive polymer based SPME fibers, i.e. poly- pyrrole, polyaniline and polythiophen, and their applications on sample pretreatment were reviewed. At last, a prospect towards the development status and trends of conductive polymer based SPME fibers was given briefly.
