All-service Operation and IMS Network Management

IP多媒体子系统(IMS)已成为当今运营商全业务运营的重要工具之一,但由于其全IP扁平化、网元功能单一、网元种类多的特点,传统的网管理念已经较难适应IMS网络的管理。文章对全业务运营背景下的IMS网管建设理念进行探讨,并提出IMS网管在网元管理层的统一、端到端应用的重要性、增强的电信运营图(eTOM)与信息技术基础设施库(ITIL)的融合起到了重要的作用。

Nowadays, many carriers choose IP Multimedia Sybsystems as an approach to all-service operation. Traditional network management concepts are not applicable to IMS network management. This is because the IMS network is characterized by a flat, all-IP architecture, simplified functionality of Network Elements, and a variety of NEs. This paper will proceed to introduce IMS network management system construction that underlies all-service operation. It will then discuss unified IMS network management at the Element Management Layer, the increasing importanceof end-to-end application, and the acceleration of eTOM and ITIL integration
