服务地方,是地方综合性大学科学发展的重要环节,是提高人才培养质量的内在要求,是科学研究的出发点和落脚点,更是地方经济社会发展的迫切需求。地方综合性大学应该创新教学主动适应,培养地方需要的适用人才;应该校企联盟联合攻关,突破地方高新技术瓶颈;应该热心服务积极转化科研成果,助推地方中小企业腾飞;还应该当好参谋传承文明,支撑地方社会事业发展。

Serving local area is a key point of the development of local comprehensive universities. It is the inner requirement to improve the training quality of talents. It is the starting and ending points of scientific research. And it is also the urgent demand of the development of local economics and society. The local comprehensive university should create new teaching method and adapt actively to the need of regional area to train the applicable talents. It should link the university and the enterprise together to deal with the problems and to break through the choke point of the local high and new technology. It should eagerly serve for transforming the research result and help to push the development of the medium-sized and small enterprises .It should also be a good advisor to transmit the civilization and sustain the development of the local social career.
