西部电影始终根植于西部地域独特的民族文化,西部电影音乐亦然。采用个案举要和归纳分析的方法,将西部电影中的音乐元素民歌、民乐、戏曲等作为研究对象,通过对他们在参与影像叙事、反映人物性格、展示内容主题方面作用的分析,提炼出西部电影通过音乐所传达出的美学风格和民族气质,并指出其对反思和发展西部电影的重要意义。
