《三侠五义》自问世以来就受到了广大读者的喜爱,其原因是多方面的,既有故事新颖独特、人物形象鲜明,也有语言通俗生动等方面的原因。其中情节艺术是不可忽视的一个方面,它在一定程度上满足了市民阶层的精神需求。特别是情节的变幻多端、离奇惊险和悬念迭出是小说引人入胜、经久不衰的重要原因。从情节之险、情节之奇、情节之实三个方面阐述《三侠五义》的情节艺术特质。

＂Three heroes and five Gallants＂ has been popular since it was first published. The reasons for its popularity are various： its unique story, distinctive characters, vivid and popular language, arnong which the art of plot is an important reason that cannot ignored. In a way, it meets the taste of the public by its ever- changing plots, endless adventures and suspense. The present study reveals the artistic feature of ＂Three Heroes and Five Gallants＂ in three aspects： the risk, oddness and authentieity of the plot.
