作为市民社会的产物和表达个体意见的重要载体,西方公共空间通过对讨论内容、交往实践和讨论原则的规制,从以下三个方面发挥着德育功能:公共事务的意见表达培养人们的公民意识;公共空间的交往实践提升人们的交往能力;公共空间的讨论规则滋养人们的道德宽容精神。研究和探讨西方公共空间的德育功能对于我国高校德育工作具有重要的意义。

Public space in the West is an important cartier and its functions of moral education are as follows： 1. expressing opinions about public affairs fosters the awareness of obligations of citizen;2, practicing communication in public space promotes people＇s ability of communication;3, discussing rules in public space nourishes people＇s tolerant character. Making a research into the functions of moral education in the West produces something we could use for reference to improve our moral education in the contemporary China.
