Although Deng Xiaoping did not explicitly construct the theory of harmonious society, his thinking and practice have in- eluded the profound theory of harmonious society. He applied these theories to specific practice, so that great changes have taken place in Chinese society, and opened a new historical era. His theory of harmonious society embodies in his thinking of the nature of socialism. It has built a solid theoretical foundation and provided a test standard, and pointed out the direction for building a harmonious so- ciety.
