耳科手术训练的计算机模拟系统

摘要 外科医生经常需要利用人体标本设计手术过程,医科学生也要利用人体标本学习和训练必要的手术技巧.一个能用来模拟人体中耳手术过程的模拟训练系统用逼真的计算机建模、模拟和可视化系统来辅助这类活动,从而降低培训成本,并给予医学和医科学生学习和设计手术过程更大的灵活性.该系统也能作为牙科医生进行牙齿钻孔的训练工具. Surgeons often re train and plan procedures using cadavers, while medical students use cadavers to acquire necessary surgical skills. However, high fidelity computer based modeling, simulation and visulization systems can be used to augment such activities, thereby reducing the cost of training, and providing greater flexibility for clinicians and medical students to explore and design procedures. We have developed a robust virtual drilling system that can be used for simulating surgery of the human middle ear. In addition, this system can also be used as a training tool for dental drilling procedures.
