Nvwa is an exceptional existence among the numerous females in Lu Xun＇ s literary world. In terms of both personality and culture, Nvwa with her unusual female creation and vitality sheds exceptional light of idealism on Lu Xun＇ s literary world. In Chinese folk culture, Nvwa is a cultural symbol with multiple implications, which are sub- tly woven into Mending the Sky by Lu Xun. By tracing the folk cultural identity of Nvwa and analyzing the sexual meta- phors in Chinese folk culture, the article intends to explore the psychology hidden behind Lu Xun＇s creation of Men- ding the Sky and to reveal the ideal female in his sexual psychology sealed in the text.
