The First Introduction of Buddhism into Qiuci

佛教传入龟兹时间问题,久而未决。文章拟通过中外学者已经发表的观点,并利用已有的新旧材料,开拓思路,从文献记载、文物遗存入手,发掘更深的内涵与背景,对佛教传入龟兹的时间问题作一些考析。经过考析,综合各方学者的意见和观点,得出一些新的概括认识。

There has been always debatable when Buddhism was first introduced into Qiuci. The present article tries to re-examine the issue based on the literature existed, cultural relics unearthed and results of previous studies, gaining some new insights of the topic.
