Latin American nationalism has gone through a number of phases,from the native sense of the Creole in the colonial era to Americanism of the leaders in the independence movement,and to cultural nationalism and anti-Americanism of the intellectual elites in the nineteenth century,then to economic nationalism.Since the end of the Cold War,Latin American nationalism has been undermined under the impact of globalism.The diversity of Latin American nationalism has exerted various impacts on domestic and foreign affairs.
