Comparative Study of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine from the Perspective of Modern Culture

中国传统医学由于科举制度等原因,中医得不到足够的重视。与西方医学培养制度不同的是,中国传统的医学教育以师承教育或院校教育为主要方式,或通过家传秘制或私淑学习来传播医技。以阴阳五行为理论基础的中国传统医学,尽管从现代科学观点来看,它存在许多不足和表达模糊之处,但必须有科学的认识。经过两千多年的演变发展,中医已成为中国文化遗产中应当继承的精华部分。

In modern times,because of China＇s defeat in general and with the Western medicine introduced to China,Chinese medicine has become synonymous with backwardness,surrounded by the focus of debate whether Chinese medicine is superior to Western medicine.However,scrutinizing the essence behind the argument,it reflects the difference between Chinese and Western cultures.Due to the imperial examination system,and other reasons,traditional Chinese medicine did not get enough attention.Its training systems are different from Western medicine in that traditional medical education uses master and apprentices as the main method,or spreads medical technology through hereditarily learning,secretly handing down or old-style private school.Traditional Chinese Medicine,with Yin and Yang theory and five phase theory as its basis,although from the perspective of modern science,has many shortcomings and ambiguities,we should have scientific understanding.After 2000 years of evolution,traditional Chinese medicine has become essential parts that should be inherited from China＇s cultural heritage.
