摘要
《狂人日记》作为中国现代小说第一篇的地位,正在遭受质疑。同时,中国现代文学的起源已经被从五四前移到晚清甚至更早。其中"现代性"是一个根本的内在理路。《狂人日记》自发表以来,大略经历了短篇小说、反封建及现代性的问题架构的阐释。这也是中国小说"现代化"研究的基本方法、逻辑前提及其内在限制所在,需要以一种反思的态度,寻找一种更宏大视野下的"现代"小说研究方法。
The fact that A Madman’s Diary is the first modern Chinese short story is now in question. The origin of modern Chinese fi ction could date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties or ever earlier than that instead of the May 4 Movement period. Modernity is a fundamental basis of theoretical exploration. A reflective attitude is needed to look for a method of studying ＂modern＂ fiction in a broader context.
