弱势群体的刑事保护是社会保护的最后一道屏障,直接关系到弱势群体的根本利益,因此对其刑事保护的状况成为法治文明的重要体现。改革开放后,我国在刑事立法和司法方面对于弱势群体的刑事保护有很大发展,但仍然在诸多方面需要尽快完善。而源于社会进步、人文主义、法治精神和慎刑思想等不懈的价值追求必将促进对弱势群体刑事保护的不断发展与完善。

The penal protection, as the ultimate social protection, is directly connected with the radical benefit for vulnerable groups, and the status of penal protection for vulnerable groups demonstrates the civilization of law. We have made great progress in the penal protection for vulnerable groups in criminal legislation and judicatory in the last 60 years, however, we still have hard work to do in order to perfect the penal protection in many ways.
