Glass decoration is one of the growing area in screen printing industry in recent years. However the physical nature of glass makes it one of the most difficult substrates to print. The article gives the fundamentals of glass printing to screen printers. It specifies types, characteristics and surface preparation of glass, introduces the coatings and processes used for glass decoration. The troubleshooting and other recommendations are also offered in the article.
