Analysis of Genre and Text Pattern in College English Teaching

通过分析《新视野大学英语.读写教程》第一册10篇文章的语篇体裁和与其对应的语篇模式,指出了常见的语篇体裁和对应的语篇模式。在综述两个概念的基础上进一步强调两者之间的关系:语篇体裁会对语篇的内容和形式起着制约作用,即特定体裁的"体裁结构"是通过一定的语篇模式来实现的,同时不同体裁的语篇也可采用相同的语篇模式。

This paper, through the analysis of the genre and its corresponding text patterns of ten articles in New Horizon College English （ Book One） , summarizes some basic genres and text patterns, based on the review of two definitions and emphasizes the relationship between them ： genre will , to some extent , constrain the content of a text and its text pattern, namely, a specific genre will be presented through a certain text pattern; at the same time, different texts with the same genre can adopt the same text pattern.
