摘要
美国高校网络教育组织模式具有多样性。本文采用内容分析法,抽取一定比例的美国高校,根据被调查高校网站的结构和内容判定其网络教育组织模式,分析美国高校网络教育组织模式多样性的表现与特征。调查显示,基于扩展教育部门、基于服务管理部门、依托网络教育同盟组织及以网络教育为主的新型大学是美国高校四种主要的网络教育组织模式;有些高校存在多种组织模式并存的现象;不同性质和类型的高校在网络教育组织模式的采纳上存在一定差异。
American institutions of higher education have diverse organizing structures for online education. In order to inquiry the diversity of organizing structures, ten percent of American higher education institutions have been selected randomly to conduct the content analysis, based on an analysis of their campus web sites. The results show that there are four main organizing structures of online programs, including department-based extended education, department-based service or administrative, relying on online education consortiums, as well as "new" universities focusing on online education, and there are certain differences in the adoption of organizing structures according to the control and the classifications of higher education institutions. The coexistence of multiple organizing structures has also been found in this research.
