With the deepening of the foreign language education reform, the problem of professional development of foreign language teacher has become one of the focuses in this field. This thesis explores the roles of internet in foreign language teachers＇professional development, which are defined as providing massive online resources for language teachers, improving their language proficiency, cultivating teachers＇reflective ability, facilitating professional communication and collaboration with peers and colleagues, and encouraging their ability to conduct scientific research.
