A Comparative Study of the Connection Modes of Compound-Complex Sentence in Mongolian and English

英语与蒙古语的复合句在连接方式上存在很大差异,受母语的负迁移影响,蒙古族学生在学习使用英语连词时往往不得要领,屡屡犯错。本文首先分别介绍了蒙古语和英语复合句的连接方式,然后对二者进行了详细的比较,分析了两种语言的复合句连接方式的差异,并结合具体实例,总结了蒙古族学生在英语连词使用上受此影响容易出现的错误。

The connection modes of English and Mongolian compound - complex sentence exist big differ- ences. Because of the influence of negative transfer of Mongolian as the first language, Mongolian students always fail to learn and use English conjunctions to the point, and repeatedly make mistakes. At first, the connection modes of English and Mongolian compound - complex sentence are introduced respectively in this paper. Then, we carry out detailed comparison of them, analyze the differences between the connection modes of the compound- complex sentences in two languages and based on some examples, summarize the possible mistakes in using English conjunctions in Mongolian students.
