An Improved Segmentation Algorithm for Classification of Fingerprint Image

摘要 指纹图像分割是图像预处理中必不可少的部分,本文结合对指纹图像简单分类的思想,并充分运用指纹图像的灰度特性和方向性提出了一种新的图像分割算法,该算法能准确的提取指纹图像的有效区域,提高了分割的精度。 The fingerprint image segmentation is an indispensable part of image pre-processing, this paper propose a new image segmentation algorithm depend on a simple classification of fingerprint images,and full use of the gray-scale fingerprint image features and the direction. This algorithm can accurately extract the effective region of fingerprint image which improved the accuracy of the segmentation.
